TAMI Holds Trade Symposium in Sao Paulo, Brazil
Led by Chen Zhi-chang, Section Chief of the Business Division of the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), the "2009 Brazil, Peru, Honduras Machinery Trade Mission" held a trade symposium at the Paulista Hotel in Sao Paulo, Brazil. At the symposium, every manufacturer made every effort to promote their products, creating a very lively atmosphere.
The members participating in this trade mission included 12 companies such as Daguang Changrong, Ruifeng, Qiyang, and Xiangquan. The machinery and equipment promoted included dozens of products such as multi-stage pumps, PVC shrink film whole-plant equipment, offset printing machines, heat cutting slitting machines, shoe-making machinery, and knitting machines. Because Taiwan's machinery quality is world-renowned, it is favored by Brazilian manufacturers.
Chen Zhi-chang stated, "We came to Brazil hoping to promote our products and also find some cooperative partners, allowing our products to sell well here in Brazil and promoting Taiwan's products. We look forward to Taiwan's premium products truly moving towards the international stage."
Chen said that as of August this year, Brazil has introduced US$801.29 million worth of machinery and equipment from abroad. Taiwan is a major supplier of machine tools, plastic machinery, and woodworking machinery. Coupled with the continued appreciation of the Brazilian Real against the US Dollar, which favors the import of foreign machinery and equipment, the sales prospects for machinery this year are still viewed optimistically.
